Softball Recap: Gunnison Cowboys vs. Aspen Skiers

Gunnison had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 18-1 margin over the Aspen Skiers. That's two games straight that the Cowboys have won by exactly 17 runs.

Isabella Crown was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. Gunnison will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Basalt at 12:00 p.m. As for Aspen, they will venture away from home to take on Delta at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Delta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
