Football Game Preview: Metea Valley Mustangs vs. Lockport Porters + Official Tickets

The Metea Valley Mustangs will head out on the road to challenge the Lockport Porters at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Metea Valley has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Lockport will arrive with three straight wins.

Metea Valley fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Naperville Central on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 28-21 to the Redhawks. While the Mustangs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Redhawks 7-0 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Lockport got the win against Sandburg on Friday by a conclusive 28-7.

Metea Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lockport, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Metea Valley took a serious blow against Lockport in their previous matchup back in September of 2022, falling 41-13. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
