Soccer Game Preview: Warren County vs. Liberty

The Warren County Wildcats will square off against the Liberty Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Warren County came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-1 to Fauquier. Warren County were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-1.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Liberty's offense. They fell 2-0 to James Wood on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Liberty can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 254th, while James Wood are ranked 96th).

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Warren County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Everything went Warren County's way against Liberty in their previous meeting back in March, as Warren County made off with a 4-0 win. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
