Basketball Recap: Prairie Ridge's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Prairie Ridge hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They were the clear victor by a 54-28 margin over the Jacobs Golden Eagles on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Wolves' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 434th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 176th).

Jacobs' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Nolan Roper, who posted nine points, and Samson Averehi, who earned ten points.

Prairie Ridge's win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16. As for Jacobs, they dropped their record down to 13-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Prairie Ridge is facing Crystal Lake Central at the right time seeing as Crystal Lake Central is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Jacobs, they will be playing at home against Huntley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
