Volleyball Recap: Cambridge Comes Up Short

Cambridge and Blessed Trinity squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Cambridge had to settle for second. They came up short against the Titans, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-7, 25-14.

Blessed Trinity got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ruby McDermott out in front who had nine digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Abby Woodward, who had six digs and four aces.

Cambridge's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-20. As for Blessed Trinity, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-10 record this season.

Cambridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Kell on the 11th. As for Blessed Trinity, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Westminster on the 11th.
