Baseball Recap: High Tech CV Takes Down Castle Park in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but High Tech CV had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Castle Park Trojans 9-8. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 4-1 win back in April.

Andre Skiles was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. He has become a key player for High Tech CV: the team is 8-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-11 otherwise. Xavier Gomez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

High Tech CV has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Castle Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-22 record this season.

As of now, neither High Tech CV nor Castle Park have any future games scheduled.
