Baseball Game Preview: West-Oak Warriors vs. Belton-Honea Path Bears

West-Oak is 1-8 against Belton-Honea Path since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Bears at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, West-Oak didn't have quite enough to beat Pendleton and fell 5-4.

Meanwhile, Belton-Honea Path didn't have quite enough to beat Crescent on Friday and fell 5-4. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Preston Dixon made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jud Lowie, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Belton-Honea Path's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for West-Oak, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

West-Oak couldn't quite get it done against Belton-Honea Path in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 as they fell 8-4. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
