Basketball Recap: India Simmons' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Germantown over Jackson Prep

Germantown was the 44-37 winner over Jackson Prep when they last played one another back in December of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Mavericks fell 47-37 to the Patriots on Saturday. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Mavericks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was India Simmons, who posted eight points. Tayler Jones was another key player, putting up seven points.

Germantown now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Jackson Prep, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Germantown has already played their next matchup, a 38-30 loss against Pearl on the 11th. As for Jackson Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-18 victory against Central Hinds Academy on the 11th.
