Basketball Recap: Gosnell Takes a Loss

Gosnell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the East Poinsett County Warriors, falling 73-45. The contest marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Jacob Gaines continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for East Poinsett County, going 7 of 10 on his way to 24 points. Gaines' afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Blagg, who posted nine points.

Gosnell now has a losing record at 5-6. As for East Poinsett County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Gosnell has already played their next game, an 86-67 defeat against Collierville on the 28th. As for East Poinsett County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-44 victory against Manila on the 28th.
