If Cy-Fair was riding high fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Memorial last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bobcats fell just short of the Stratford Spartans by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Cy-Fair saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Rios, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that Rios snagged this season. Another was Addyson Elrod, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Cy-Fair's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Stratford, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cy-Fair is set to challenge their familiar foe Cypress Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Stratford will take on rival Cypress Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
