Soccer Game Preview: Richland vs. Battle Creek

The Richland Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Battle Creek Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Friday just wasn't the day for Richland's offense. They fell just short of Lawrence County by a score of 1-0 two weeks ago. That's two games in a row now that Richland have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Battle Creek made easy work of Culleoka on Tuesday and carried off a 6-1 win. Battle Creek might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by three goals or more this season.

Battle Creek is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those five contests. This is the second loss in a row for Richland and nudges their season record down to 1-4-1.
