Football Recap: Zion Clopton Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mccutcheon

The third road contest was the charm for Harrison, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They enjoyed a cozy 21-7 win over the McCutcheon Mavericks on Friday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Mavericks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Harrison got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zion Clopton out in front who rushed for 101 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. Channing Glick also helped with two scores in total.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Harrison was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 251 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The victory got Harrison back to even at 3-3. As for McCutcheon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrison will welcome Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Raiders' offense will have their work cut out for them.
