Softball Recap: Bedford Gets the Win

Bedford won the last time they faced Bishop Carroll and things went their way on Thursday too. Bedford's pitcher stepped up to hand Bishop Carroll a 20-0 shutout.

Emily Pratt made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Bedford let Bailey Mickle and Leah Nee run wild. Mickle went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Nee scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most RBI Mickle has posted since back in April of 2024. Lara Bulger was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
