Baseball Recap: Scarborough Takes a Loss

Scarborough had lost five straight at home, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 0-10 to make it six. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Forest Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 on Friday.

As for North Forest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games.

For North Forest's part, their win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Steve Martinez, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run. Another was Chris Clark, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

As of now, neither Scarborough nor North Forest have any future games scheduled.
