Softball Recap: Redding Christian Comes Up Short

Redding Christian managed to slip by Modoc the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Redding Christian lost 14-3 to Modoc on Friday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Redding Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Klara Wakeman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Miki Lane also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Redding Christian is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6-1. As for Modoc, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Redding Christian will face off against Anderson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Redding Christian is facing Anderson at the right time seeing as Anderson is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Modoc, they have already played their next match, a 9-3 victory against Loyalton on the 21st.
