Volleyball Recap: Rocky River Starts Season with Loss at Home

Rocky River unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Strongsville Mustangs on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

While Rocky River was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Strongsville's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-17.

The victory was the third in a row for Strongsville, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Rocky River wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against North Olmsted on the 21st. As for Strongsville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against North Royalton on the 21st.
