Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Grand Saline's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

After only two runs in their last matchup, Grand Saline made sure to put some runs up on the board against Eustace on Monday. The Indians were the clear victors by a 19-3 margin over the Bulldogs. Considering the Indians have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Grand Saline is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Eustace, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Grand Saline is set to face off against their familiar foe Quitman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Eustace will square off against rival Winona at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
