Soccer Recap: McNeil Takes a Loss

McNeil was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Stony Point Tigers. McNeil were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Stony Point earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

McNeil's goal came courtesy of Ariya Thompson, which was the first she's scored this season.

McNeil's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-2. As for Stony Point, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 4-8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. McNeil is set to face off against their familiar foe Vandegrift at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Stony Point will challenge rival Cedar Ridge at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
