Soccer Recap: Cranston East Takes a Loss

Cranston East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Johnston Panthers. Cranston East were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Johnston earlier this season, when they won 6-1.

Julia Hale and Yennesis Estremera scored both of Cranston East's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Cranston East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-2. As for Johnston, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Looking ahead, Cranston East is taking a road trip to square off against Cranston West at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Johnston, they will be playing at home against Rogers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
