Baseball Recap: Pine Grove Comes Up Short

Pine Grove fell victim to Blue Mountain and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Pine Grove saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Brommer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Brommer is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Pine Grove now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Blue Mountain, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Grove will square off against Schuylkill Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blue Mountain, they will face off against Panther Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
