Recap: Otis-Bison Cougars vs. LaCrosse Leopards
The Otis-Bison Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 44-28 bruising from LaCrosse. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Otis-Bison in their matchups with LaCrosse: they've now lost six in a row.
LaCrosse's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madison Morgan led the charge by scoring 14 points along with three steals. Morgan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Molly Showalter was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six assists and four steals.
Otis-Bison has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for LaCrosse, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Otis-Bison will take on Dighton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for LaCrosse, they will head out on the road to face off against St. John at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. John will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
