Recap: Butler Bulldogs vs. Olympic Trojans

Make it seven blowout wins for the Butler Bulldogs this season. They blew past Olympic 54-30. The victory was just what Butler needed coming off of a 58-36 loss in their prior game.

It was another big night for Brooklyn Saunders, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joy Park, who scored 13 points.

Olympic's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chai James, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. James is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 12 games she's played.

Butler is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Olympic, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Butler will square off against Sun Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sun Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Butler likes a good challenge. As for Olympic, they will head out on the road to square off against Myers Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Myers Park will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak alive.
