 Sadly, West Jefferson is still looking for their first win of the season after 13  matches. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost  19-0 to Thomas Jefferson, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to West Jefferson of the  21-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2023.
 For Thomas Jefferson's part,  Kalli Cannon and  Carson Heigle were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound,  Cannon   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Heigle   pitched  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks). At bat,  Cannon  scored a  run while going 1-for-2, while  Heigle  went 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI.
 In other batting news, Thomas Jefferson let  Madison Reine and  Caroline Burke loose on the outfield. Reine  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 4-for-4, while  Burke  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Thi Nichols, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2.
 West Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Thomas Jefferson, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record  this season.
 West Jefferson will be playing in front of their home fans against Eleanor McMain at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Eleanor McMain's hitters has struggled lately (they haven't scored a  run in nine consecutive games), something the team is no doubt ready to change. As for Thomas Jefferson, they will head out on the road to  take on  South Terrebonne at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
