Volleyball Recap: Estrella Foothills Takes a Loss

If Estrella Foothills was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Agua Fria on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves lost 3-0 to the Cactus Cobras on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolves have suffered since September 3rd.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-13.

Kaylee O'Conner paced Estrella Foothills' offense, picking up nine kills. O'Conner got some help from Lily Merefield and her 13 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Faith Connell, who had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September. Charley Enos also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Estrella Foothills' defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 20-6-5. As for Cactus, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Estrella Foothills nor Cactus have any future games scheduled.
