Softball Recap: Luther Prep Gets the Win

Luther Prep lost to Brookfield Academy back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Phoenix came out on top against the Blue Knights by a score of 10-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Phoenix.

Luther Prep let Lydia Vasold and Arabella Timm run wild. Vasold went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Timm went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Eden Kieselhorst, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Luther Prep's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Brookfield Academy, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 11-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Luther Prep will take on rival St. Francis at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Brookfield Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Living Word Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
