Basketball Recap: Oak Hill's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Oak Hill hadn't done well against Winthrop recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Oak Hill Raiders escaped with a win against the Winthrop Ramblers by the margin of a single free throw, 38-37. The win was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Oak Hill's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Winthrop, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Hill will face off against Leavitt at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Winthrop, they will be home for the holidays to greet Mountain Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
