Football Game Preview: Battle Ground Academy Wildcats vs. Grace Christian Academy Lions + Official Tickets

Battle Ground Academy has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Grace Christian Academy has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Wildcats will host the Lions at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Battle Ground Academy 13, Grace Christian Academy 12.2) so any points scored will be well earned.

If Battle Ground Academy beats Grace Christian Academy with 56 points on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Wildcats beat Goodpasture Christian on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 56-14. Considering the Wildcats have won eight games by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kaedyn Marable produced another solid effort throwing for 282 yards and six touchdowns while completing 85% of his passes, and also rushing for 58 yards. He has been hot recently, having posted four or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Maddox Porter, who picked up 136 receiving yards and three scores.

Battle Ground Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Evan Kellum and Mannie Fentress.

Meanwhile, Grace Christian Academy fell victim to Franklin Road Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Panthers and fell 31-0. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Lions, who until this contest were averaging 12.22 points allowed.

Grace Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Battle Ground Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
