Volleyball Recap: Maddie Linklater Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Carroll + How To Watch

Bishop Fenwick won the last time they faced Carroll and things went their way on Thursday too. The Falcons blew past the Patriots 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bishop Fenwick took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-9, 25-10.

Bishop Fenwick got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Maddie Linklater out in front who had 22 digs and one assist. Those 22 digs gave Linklater a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emerson Moser, who had six aces and three digs.

Bishop Fenwick was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Bishop Fenwick's record now sits at 7-3. As for Carroll, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Bishop Fenwick didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Lakota East on the 13th. As for Carroll, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Middletown Christian on the 15th.
