Football Recap: Lord Botetourt Has No Trouble Against Rustburg + How To Watch

The Lord Botetourt Cavaliers didn't have too much trouble with the Rustburg Red Devils on Friday as they won 28-14. The Cavaliers pushed the score to 21-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Red Devils cut but never quite recovered from.

Quinten Jones went supernova, rushing for 167 yards and a pair of scores, while also picking up 66 receiving yards.

Lord Botetourt's run defense was locked in: Rustburg could only muster 1.7 yards per carry. The Cavaliers didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged six.

Despite the loss, Rustburg still got an impressive performance from Aiden Sax, who threw for 232 yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one TD on the ground.

Lord Botetourt has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Lord Botetourt will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Altavista at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Rustburg, they will head out to face off against Appomattox County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
