Football Game Preview: St. Helens Lions vs. Astoria Fishermen

The St. Helens Lions will face off against the Astoria Fishermen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

St. Helens is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 33 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Seaside on Friday. They were dealt a 55-7 defeat at the hands of the Seagulls. The Lions have struggled against the Seagulls recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Astoria lost 33-7 to Scappoose on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Fishermen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Indians are ranked 30th).

Astoria's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for St. Helens, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
