Baseball Recap: Pine Bluff Takes a Loss

Pine Bluff came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 20-10 to the Fordyce Redbugs. The Zebras were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Redbugs earlier this season, when they won 13-12.

Comarion McCoy was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was James Ento, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Pine Bluff dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fordyce, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Fordyce beat Pine Bluff by a score of 19-10 later that day.
