Basketball Recap: First Love Christian Academy Takes a Loss

On Friday, First Love Christian Academy lost to the Broome Street Academy Warriors at home by a 88-74 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game back in December of 2024 (70), First Love Christian Academy still had to take the loss.

Broome Street Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaac Foster, who went 7-for-14 en route to 18 points along with eight steals and six assists. Foster is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 49 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Wright, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 23 points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for First Love Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 0-2. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points over those games. As for Broome Street Academy, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 21-11.

First Love Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Broome Street Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Non Varsity Opponent at 3:00 a.m. on February 22nd.
