Soccer Recap: Central Woodstock Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rappahannock County two weeks ago, Central Woodstock came back down to earth. The Falcons fell just short of the Luray Bulldogs by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. Central Woodstock were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Luray earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Central Woodstock's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-2. As for Luray, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10-1.

Central Woodstock didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Strasburg on the 22nd. As for Luray, they will venture away from home to face off against Rappahannock County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Luray will be up against Rappahannock County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.77 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
