Basketball Recap: Gavin Wright Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Granby

Norfolk Collegiate won the last time they faced Granby and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mighty Oaks managed a 55-51 victory over the Comets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mighty Oaks.

Norfolk Collegiate's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gavin Wright led the charge by putting up 11 points and eight steals. Those eight steals gave Wright a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josh Mills, who posted 11 points along with seven assists and five steals.

Norfolk Collegiate's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Norfolk Collegiate has already played their next matchup, a 65-58 victory against Norcom on the 4th. As for Granby, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Lake Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Comets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
