Recap: Western Alamance Warriors vs. Eastern Alamance Eagles
The Western Alamance Warriors lost against the Eastern Alamance Eagles back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Western Alamance suffered a rough 63-39 loss at the hands of Eastern Alamance. Western Alamance has struggled against Eastern Alamance recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Western Alamance lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nicholas McGhee. Despite the final result, he scored nine points. Tyler Clayton was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
Western Alamance now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Eastern Alamance, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Alamance will take on NCSSM: Durham at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Ethann Burkett and James Newton. As for Eastern Alamance, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Williams at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Hopefully Williams focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
