Basketball Recap: Eden Prairie Comes Up Short

Eden Prairie lost against Shakopee back in January of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eden Prairie Eagles took a 70-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shakopee Sabers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Sabers are ranked tenth).

Eden Prairie dropped their record down to 9-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Shakopee, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eden Prairie will welcome Champlin Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shakopee, they will challenge Eagan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
