Softball Recap: Brazos Comes Up Short

Brazos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 17-2 to the St. Paul Cardinals. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 6-1 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in March of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brazos' defeat dropped their record down to 3-12-1. As for St. Paul, they moved to 1-5 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Brazos Cougars duke it out with Burton Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Paul, they will be playing at home against Concordia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Concordia knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully St. Paul likes a good challenge.
