Basketball Recap: Sophia Kudrna Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Florence/Henry

Castlewood lost to Florence/Henry back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Castlewood Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-40 win over the Florence/Henry Falcons.

Castlewood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Kudrna, who went 5 for 11 to rack up 13 points and six rebounds. That's the most points Kudrna has posted since back in December of 2024. Ava Ruml was another key player, putting up nine points and eight boards.

Castlewood's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Florence/Henry, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Coming up, Castlewood will take on Deubrook at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Florence/Henry, they will host Roncalli at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th.
