Basketball Game Preview: Idea Timberwolves vs. Parkside Eagles

Idea hasn't had much luck against Parkside recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Idea Timberwolves will head out on the road to face off against the Parkside Eagles at 2:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Idea will head into Friday's game on the come-up: they were handed a 20-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against SEED DC, sneaking past 66-64. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Timberwolves as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Idea can attribute much of their success to Kaidyn Lewis, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 18 points. The dominant performance gave Lewis a new career-high in points. Sean Baltimore was another key player, as he made all 5 shots he took racking up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Parkside faced KIPP College Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Parkside came out on top against KIPP College Prep by a score of 70-62.

Idea better keep an eye on Colby Murphy. He was instrumental in Parkside's win, putting up 30 points. Another player making a difference was Daiquan Smith, who posted 18 points.

Idea's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Parkside, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Idea and Parkside were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January of 2022, but Idea came up empty-handed after a 42-41 defeat. Can Idea avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
