Basketball Recap: South Johnston Takes a Loss + How To Watch

South Johnston was the 54-45 winner over Princeton when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans fell 56-44 to the Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why South Johnston lost, don't look at Walker Johnson. Despite the final result, he shot 47% from the field on his way to 18 points. Johnson has also also been stellar as far as three-point shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 40% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was William Danzy, who posted 11 points.

Jordyn Gaines had a dynamite game For Princeton., dropping a double-double with 18 points and ten assists. Evan Pate was another key player, going 7-for-13 to rack up 14 points.

South Johnston now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Princeton, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Princeton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 57-43 victory against Union on the 5th. Hopefully South Johnston paid attention to the Bulldogs' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
