Jah Sheppard Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Starting off the list is Martin County's Jah Sheppard, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Sheppard rushed for 173 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.2 rushing touchdowns per game.

The victory (which was Martin County's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Sheppard and Martin County will face off against Washington County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Knapp Made His Presence Known in Perquimans' 46-12 Win

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Braylon Knapp stepped things up a notch to give Perquimans the 'W'. Knapp was dynamite, throwing for 287 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.0 yards per attempt.

Unfortunately for Washington County, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Knapp. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Knapp saw the Panthers), he threw for 425 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.1% of his passes.

Another Game with at Least 105 Rushing Yards from Kamerin Mcdowell-Moore

Kamerin Mcdowell-Moore's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his third-straight game with 105+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns.

Mcdowell-Moore must have Bertie's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Mcdowell-Moore last faced the Falcons back in September of 2023, he picked up 51 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 49 yards and a touchdown.

Maddux Thach Makes It Two for Perquimans

Another Perquimans player making an appearance on this list is Maddux Thach. He picked up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 55 yards.

On the season, Thach has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 78 receiving yards per game.

Kel'javious Moore Goes Supernova in Martin County Win

Kel'Javious Moore was instrumental in extending Martin County's winning streak to five on Friday. He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made nine or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

Unfortunately for Gates County, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Moore. Moore made 17 total tackles the last time he and the Red Barons duked it out back in September of 2023.
