Football Recap: Chilton County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chilton County lost against Benjamin Russell back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers took a blow against the Wildcats, falling 49-16. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Wildcats are ranked 25th).

Tyrese Varner threw for 38 yards and one TD.

Benjamin Russell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alijah Johnson out in front who rushed for 42 yards and one score, and also picked up 41 receiving yards and one touchdown. Cederian Morgan was in the mix as well, providing the Wildcats with two TDs.

This is the second loss in a row for Chilton County and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Benjamin Russell, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
