Baseball Recap: St. Edward Extends Winning Streak to Four

St. Edward waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Westlake Demons. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Langston Lucas was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

St. Edward pushed their record up to 11-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Westlake, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

St. Edward will face off against Waynedale at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Westlake, they will challenge Normandy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
