Soccer Recap: Ferris Comes Up Short

Ferris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ridgeline Falcons. While losing is never fun, Ferris can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Ridgeline are ranked 83rd).

Ferris' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Ridgeline, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ferris will take on rival Cheney at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ridgeline is set to square off against their familiar foe Lewis & Clark at 6:30 p.m. on May 2. Ridgeline are on a three-game streak of home wins, Lewis & Clark a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
