Softball Preview: Mt. Carmel Sundevils vs. Rancho Bernardo Broncos

The Mt. Carmel Sundevils will head out on the road to face off against the Rancho Bernardo Broncos at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Mt. Carmel: 3.7, Rancho Bernardo: 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Thursday, everything went Mt. Carmel's way against Valley Center as Mt. Carmel made off with a 14-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mt. Carmel.

Madie Codner was incredible, going 4-for-5 with a home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Jordan Grimaud, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Rancho Bernardo had just enough and edged Mission Hills out 7-5 on Wednesday.

Mia Cascio was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs. Kendall Luna de la Fuente was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBI.

Mt. Carmel now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Rancho Bernardo, they pushed their record up to 10-5-1 with that victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.
