Volleyball Recap: Baker Wins Going Away Against Florala + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Choctawhatchee, Baker was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Florala Wildcats as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Gators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

One reason for the win was Baker's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-8, 25-6.

Baker found their leader in sophomore Bailey Johnson, who had five aces and one assist. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Johnson.

Baker was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Baker's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Florala, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Baker didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Jay on the 9th. Florala has also already played their next contest (against Emmanuel Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
