Basketball Game Preview: Sunnyside Wildcats vs. Edison Tigers

Sunnyside is 1-6 against Edison since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Sunnyside Wildcats duke it out with the Edison Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Wednesday, Sunnyside beat Fresno 64-54. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Warriors are ranked 655th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 71-70 heartbreaker at the hands of Hoover.

Edison's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Sunnyside, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
