Baseball Game Preview: Franklin Admirals vs. Page Patriots

For the second straight game, Franklin will face off against Page. The Admirals will head out to square off against the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Things were looking good for Franklin after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 7-4 to Page.

Franklin got a good showing from Aiden Pennington, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs Pennington has allowed over his last four matches.

On the hitting side, Andrew Dixon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Page's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for Franklin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
