Negaunee came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Gwinn Modeltowners a 16-0 shutout. The Miners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Negaunee's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Gwinn, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Negaunee will host Kingsford at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gwinn, they will welcome Westwood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
