Softball Recap: Freedom Falcons vs. Deer Valley Wolverines

In what's become a running theme this season, Freedom gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They never let the Deer Valley Wolverines onto the board and left with a 22-0 victory. 22 seems to be a good number for Freedom as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Jackie Graves and Maya Soto were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Graves didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Soto tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Graves has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate, Graves went 1-for-1 with two RBI, while Soto fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Madison Evers-Lyles and Taylor Stanton did most of the damage at the plate: Evers-Lyles scored four runs while going 3-for-3, while Stanton went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI.
